Customer Policy – MaiJuba Somali Bridal

Thank you for choosing MaiJuba Somali Bridal! To ensure a smooth and professional experience for all clients, please take a moment to review our customer policy.
Appointments & Consultations
our services are by appointment only.
For OUT-OF-STATE clients, virtual fittings are mandatory as part of the initial consultation to discuss design, materials, pricing, and timelines. Please arrive at meetings on time. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may require rescheduling. Mai Juba does not make exact replicas; your custom dress will be a COLLABORAtive endeavor.

Pricing & Deposits
Prices vary based on fabric, trims, design complexity, and time required.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required before work begins.
Full payment is due before final delivery/pickup. 
Turnaround Time
Turnaround times are estimated and may vary based on project scope and current workload. The guideline is 60 days before your event.
Rush orders (under 7 business days) are available for an additional fee- 30% of dress price. Not all orders are elligble for rush orders. INQUIRE with us for more details.
Fittings & Alterations
Most custom pieces require 1–2 fittings. Mai Juba offers progress shots with fit models to view how the DRAPES on a model close to your MEASUREMENTS.

Cancellations & Refunds
Deposits are non-refundable due to time and materials invested.
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance of booking. Every sale is a final non-refundable purchase.

Client Responsibilities
Please bring or wear proper undergarments and shoes for fittings.
Clearly communicate any changes in preferences or sizing as early as possible.
Ensure timely communication, pickups, and mail delivery information.
Loss of Dress:
If incorrect delivery information is given and not corrected within one month after completion of THE dress, with no communication from THE customer, the dress will be subject to be sold at the discretion of MaiJuba.
Fabric & Materials
Mai Juba does not work with CLIENT-PROVIDED fabrics. If there is a specific fabric you want, we will make the purchase to ensure it is quality fabric and enough yardage for the project.  Fabric Choice: The type of fabric can impact the alteration/design PROCESS. guidance will be provided on fabric care and longevity.
Liability Disclaimer
MaiJuba takes great care to provide high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. However, we are not liable for any issues unrelated to the specific alterations or services performed. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Normal wear and tear of garments after pickup
  • Damage due to improper care, washing, or storage
  • Fabric weaknesses, defects, or inconsistencies in client-provided materials
  • Sizing or fit issues arising from significant body measurement changes after fittings
  • Damage caused by third-party alterations
    
Quality Guarantee:
Clients are responsible for following all care instructions and inspecting garments at the time of final pickup/ upon Delivery. MaiJuba is not liable for issues unrelated to the specific alterations performed, such as normal wear and tear. 
Deposits and Payments:
Initial Deposit:
MaiJuba requires a non-refundable deposit, 50% of the estimated cost, to secure the appointment and begin work. All purchases with maijuba are non-refundable. 
Payment Schedule: 
Another halfway payment will be due before completing the dress. The remaining balance is due upon completion and before final fitting. 
Forms of Payment:
Accepted payment methods are invoices via our website, sent to your email, or direct payments on MAIJUBA.COM. Payment must be cleared before the project begins.
Alterations and Garment Care:
Design Changes:
any significant Changes to the design or alterations after the initial fitting will incur extra fees and may extend THE project completion date. 
Discretion: MaiJuba reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.
